Wow, I just realized it's been really long since I blogged! My last post was in February and here we are in almost mid-July. Time flies by when you're having so much fun!
So what have I been up to? Enjoying every minute with my daughter who is now 15 months old! Taking some much needed vacations to Florida and then Poland to visit our families. In between all the hassle, I've been busy assembling summer wedding invitation orders for my fabulous brides. I've also payed a little more attention to a hobby of mine-photagraphy which I really want to understand more in order to preserve these precious moments that are flying by with our little girl.
All this activity has left me little time to blog, bring in new invitation designs, update my website and some other things related to Blossom Accents. I am hoping this summer will slow down a bit and I can squeeze in some much needed stationery attention.
Here are a few photographs from our adventures! Hope everyone is having a fabulous summer!
Here she is having so much fun in Florida and enjoying the beautiful sunset.
After we came back from Florida, it was still spring like weather in Ohio. I was able to catch some shots of pretty spring flowers. My favorite subject, besides my daughter :)
This poppy photograph is from Poland. I love the pop of red amongst a green field.

Blossom Travel: Spain and Netherlands
This past September we were lucky enough to do some traveling to the beautiful countries of Spain and the Netherlands! They were both very different in architecture but both had amazing historical charm!
Hope some of you get to visit these beauties one day! Now let's get back to work!

Blossom Travel: Utah, Zion National Park and Las Vegas
I was lucky enough to escape to crazy and highly entertaining Las Vegas for a couple days and then to beautiful Utah, mostly Zion National Park.
Usually I don't like to go to the same place twice, but there is something about Zion that really makes you want to stay and see more. Last time we were there, about 5 years ago we just scanned the area and did some short hikes. This time we were there a bit longer and we definitely explored Zion!
We climbed up to Angels Landing, up 1,500 feet elevation and also to Observation Point- up 2,500 feet elevation. These two are the major hikes one can do and feel accomplished enough to enjoy a nice cold drink in the by the pool afterwards! This is one of the most beautiful places in the US!

Blossom Travel: Puerto Rico and Vieques Island
When it was really cold and gloomy back in early March, we decided to escape the cold and head to sunny and colorful Puerto Rico!!
First we landed in San Juan, Puerto Rico and took a small charter flight to the small island Vieques (20 minute flight from San Juan). It was AMAZING! The color of the water was a perfect clear turquoise and the sand was purely white! Relaxed and really hospitable atmosphere! We stayed there for four nights, but I regret not staying longer.
Then we headed back to San Juan and stayed there for three nights. Mostly we toured the Old San Juan, a 465 year old neighborhood full of culture. This area is steeped in history with an old-world and romantic European charm. Full of eye catching 16-17th century restored colorful buildings!
Puerto Rico is definitely a nice get away. Short direct flight from Cleveland, Ohio. Mostly all the residents spoke excellent English and the currency was the dollar. The cuisine was delicious, anything from seafood to traditional Puerto Rican tapas.

Almost every doorway in Old San Juan looked just like this! Picture perfect.

California Central Coast Roadtrip
Recently my husband and I took a small vacation away from the day to day responsibilities and headed to California, specifically the central coast area. It was breathtaking and the ride among Highway 1 was just exhilarating!
We flew in to San Francisco and headed by car to Santa Barbara. A longer but beautiful drive. On the way we stopped by Monterey and Caramel by the Sea and drove the "the 17 mile drive". The prettiest piece of land you will ever drive!
When we got to Santa Barbara, we visited the area and also stopped by a cute little town in the valley called Ojai. Also Ventura Beach which is literally surfer haven, the waves were continuously active! Both areas had plenty for the foodies, shoppers or cafe goers!
California also has a few Old Missions which we visited on the way as well. All with unique history, beauty and charm.
On the way to our next destination San Louis Obispo, we stopped by a charming Danish town Solvang. Adorable street shops, boutiques, restaurants! The people are really friendly and hospitable! Oh and awesome Ebelskivers-danish pastry! Yummy!
In San Louis Obispo we drove to Pismo Beach. Had great seafood and watched the sunset.
Finally we drove to Big Sur along Highway 1. We took in the amazing views, watched elephant seals lay around on the beach, hiked beautiful trails with again, amazing views and finished the eveing with dinner at Nepenthe a restaurant on top of a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean! Just one word- AWESOME!
The last day of our trip we relaxed in San Louis Obispo, toured the town and ended the evening with friends at a local winery drinking wine and watching the sun go down. Glorious!

Blossom Accents on Vacation!
This past weekend while returning from a very relaxing and joyful weekend in a cabin in the middle of spectacular forests in Poland, I spotted these breathtaking poppies. I just had to stop the car and take a few pics to retain the memory. It was a time well spent!

Blossom Travel: Mexico City
Recently my husband and I took a short trip to Mexico City. We were both surprised by the deep culture of the Mexican people still representing the Aztec culture back thousands of years ago. But also the beauty of Spanish influenced architecture such as two images below. This city offers a huge variety of activities for any traveller! Although I have to say, I was somewhat disappointed by the lack of english speaking individuals. Spanish would have come in handy, but we were able to do with out... maybe I will take up Spanish??...
