I've been doing some fun things lately and I'm completely enjoying myself! This 16x20 floral painting will probably hang in my office or be given away to someone that really loves it!

Pantone Color of the Year: Marsala

Last year's Radiant Orchid color of the year was surely a favorite of mine! This years Pantone color of the year is more neutral and earthy- Marsala. It's calming and yet very elegant with grounding richness and welcoming in a variety of uses. I'm getting ready to start a design perfect for this years Marsala color of year!

Stay tuned this week for the addition of brand new designs to our Blossom Accents Portfolio!

It's been a while since I blogged!

Wow, I just realized it's been really long since I blogged! My last post was in February and here we are in almost mid-July. Time flies by when you're having so much fun!

So what have I been up to? Enjoying every minute with my daughter who is now 15 months old! Taking some much needed vacations to Florida and then Poland to visit our families. In between all the hassle, I've been busy assembling summer wedding invitation orders for my fabulous brides. I've also payed a little more attention to a hobby of mine-photagraphy which I really want to understand more in order to preserve these precious moments that are flying by with our little girl.

All this activity has left me little time to blog, bring in new invitation designs, update my website and some other things related to Blossom Accents. I am hoping this summer will slow down a bit and I can squeeze in some much needed stationery attention.

Here are a few photographs from our adventures! Hope everyone is having a fabulous summer!

Here she is having so much fun in Florida and enjoying the beautiful sunset.

After we came back from Florida, it was still spring like weather in Ohio. I was able to catch some shots of pretty spring flowers. My favorite subject, besides my daughter :)

This poppy photograph is from Poland. I love the pop of red amongst a green field.

Blossom Accents News! A little addition...

We are happy to announce a little tiny addition to Blossom Accents! A happy little girl was born in March and we have been in love since!

So to start the celebration, I will share some pictures from my baby shower which was absolutely sweet and charming!

The delicious cake pop favors were made by The Cute Little Cake Shop paired with pink nail polish and an envelope of black tea. The colors of choice were pink and turquoise which made a very cheerful and feminine accent.

Our delicious pink and turquoise cup cakes were made by an extremely talented local mom! Take a look at her gorgeous creations at the Polka Dot Cake Shop. Whitney loves flowers and bright vivid colors which is clearly evident in her cup cake designs.

And our last sweet goodie is our cake from Cakes by Nadine. Also in our theme colors and carnation flower accents! Delicious!

And of course the small stationery details seen on the favors and also the decorative wrap on the mason jar flower vases made by Blossom Accents. Next, we will share more details from the baby shower.

Blossom Art: My Art and My Story

Art has been a part of my life since I can remember. Even as a child, I remember asking my mom to take me to the art museum to look at all the paintings. Art in a way is my best friend, something that puts me a in a calm state of mind when I need it or not. Anyone that knows me, will tell you I LOVE flowers! Flowers have naturally become my favorite subject to draw, paint or photograph!

All the invitations start with my sketchbook and my pink pencil box! I usually have an idea of what the artwork will look like, but sometimes something completely unexpected appears on paper, a fun and exciting process. I feel so lucky to be able to share my art with brides and grooms from all over the world! Thank you all so much for taking a look!

... and one of my favorite quotes truly meaningful to me "A work of art which did not begin in emotion is not art" Paul Cezanne
