A beautiful winter day at Blossom Accents!

About a week ago we had a snowfall here in Ohio and instead of bundling up at home under a cozy blanket with some hot chocolate, I took the little one with me for a stroller walk in the neighborhood. I grabbed my camera because who knows when a great photo opportunity may pop up?

As we walked down the streets, I was in complete awe at the beauty. The fall leaves still have not fallen which added to the snowfalls pure whiteness. Even some flowers were still visible under the cold! Here are some of the beautiful pictures I captured on this lovely day.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from Blossom Accents!

Christmas is just around the corner! Everyone is running around getting last minute gifts and holiday trimmings. Many of my friends & family have had their Christmas tree up since Thanksgiving, but I like to wait until almost the last minute. We just bought one this weekend and it smells so nice in our apartment!

Below are some images from our tree. The big glass ornament is from Poland (we're I'm from). Actually it's from my Uncle's company Chemix where he produces and designs these lovelies! What do you think? Everything is hand-painted!!!

And below are polish Ginger cookies! This is a new Christmas tradition here in my household, inspired by my mother-in-law. The smell of ginger and honey fills the house and sets a warm and festive mood. The longer they last the better they taste!

It seems like here in Ohio, spring never really ended, summer really never came and fall is here extra early with winter season knocking on the door!!! I know this sounds really terrible but looking outside my window right now, I see rain with heavy gray clouds and I have not seen sunshine for four days!!! The heat is on, my hot tea is near my reach and yes, I took out the winter sweater collection! It's only OCT 1st! Anyways, I thought these snowflake cookies I found on Martha's Wedding are perfect for someone having a wedding or another lovely celebration during the winter season!
