Lilac Wedding Invitations: NEW at Blossom Accents!

One of my newest designs is the Lilac Wedding Invitation. It was inspired by a clients vision of pink lilacs hanging in a romantic fashion as a vine. She also has a love for bees since her family is involved in the beekeeping business so she requested a couple of adorable bees on the invitation as well! I think they came out fantastic and are perfect for a spring or summer wedding.

The lilac blossom has a beautiful meaning perfectly appropriate for a wedding:

Red Poppy Wedding Invitation

I just added one of my favorites back to the Blossom Accents portfolio! The poppy blossom artwork is the first flower I drew when I decided to open a stationery business back in 2008. I had it on the website for a year or so but decided to remove it because I didn't like the style of the invitation anymore. The time has finally come for a new look of my red poppy invitation and I couldn't be happier with the result! It has vintage style with much personality! How many invitations to order: Blossom Tips

I have been asked a few times "how many invitations should I order?" If you are ordering 100 invitations, I recommend ordering at least 10 additional invitations. You may want one for yourself as a keepsake to place in the photo album or guest book and a few additional for unexpected add-on's or in case of any mistakes. Also, many vendors have minimum requirements when ordering extra invitations and you definitely don't want to have to order way more than you need in extras. Rarely, but it happens, people order one per guest! All you need is one per household.

Violets Bouquet Wedding Invitations - New!

Hi there all! It's been a while since my last blog post. We've been incredibly busy around here making plans for improvements around the site and products to come! I also had some time to do some travels around Europe to beautiful places - more to come about that during the days ahead. For now let's start with the NEW and improved Violets Bouquet Wedding Invitation Suite.

It's a playful and romantic artwork with delicate touches here and there. It reminds me of something you would find a beautiful porcelain china. I added some bright yellow color to bring out the rich violet color in the artwork which successfully did the job! Hope you like it!

Meet a Blossom Accents Bride! Angie and Richie Part Two

Angie and Richie wanted to announce their wedding in Miami style-reflecting the palm trees, tropical flowers and beautiful colors of the sun and ocean. I created a colorful invite with a bold tropical hibiscus blossom.

The invitations for the wedding ceremony and reception reflected Angie's bouquet and reception centerpieces. I am in love with her bouquet! Romantic and gorgeous!!

The white orchids were drawn to coordinate with the theme of the party. Printed on heavy textured off-white paper with a subtle brown border to accentuate the artwork. All invitations in the Spanish language.

Flower Power Wedding Invitations- Fun & Bold

It's a rainy day here in Ohio today, so I wanted to post something cheerful and colorful! I came across these invitations I did for AJ and Craig from England this past summer. AJ wanted something really casual yet really bold in design and color. The first set of invitations were for both ceremony and reception-a little more sparkly and elaborate. The second set of invites were only additional guest invited to the reception only. This style was less decorated but still very fun! Enjoy!

Just imagine the thoughts these guest had when they received the invitations!? That was one heck of a party as AJ afterwards mentioned!

Meet a Blossom Accents Bride! Kelly and Tim

Today I have the pleasure of sharing some fantastic photographs from one of our brides! Working with Kelly has been a blast! Her impeccable attention to detail is seen through out the reception to the ceremony.

It is obvious she adores sunflowers. The sunflower invitation from Blossom Accents Handmade and Artistic Stationery was the first glimpse the guests received prior to the celebrations. On the day of the wedding, these cheerful blossoms are seen in the bouquet, the bridesmaids hair, centerpieces, wedding programs and much more. Fantastic!

Navy blue and bright yellow were the dominating colors of this wedding theme. The groom and groomsmen were sporting grey suits with alternating yellow and navy ties. The gorgeous bridesmaids wore really elegant knee length dresses with cute yellow heels!

The memories were captured in all sorts of fun places! Ice cream shop, rail road tracks, porches and much more. All photography was the fine work of Michael Rastall.

Custom Stamps at Blossom Accents are HERE!

Recently here at Blossom Accents, one of my clients has pushed me into a variety of creative projects! This is one of my favorite things about being a custom invitation design studio! I give my clients the BEST personal service I can, they inspire great designs within my creative side and it is an all around full of pleasure experience!

This particular client really enjoyed the pink hydrangea design and she just wanted everything in the wedding stationery to have this blossom as an accent! So we even went along to create some stamps! I really love how everything is coming together-I can't wait myself till these are finally finished and mailed to put a smile on peoples faces :) !!! Here is a lovely collection of inspirations in purple and chartreuse green hughes. Anything from flowers to dresses, invitations, table settings and more... what a great color theme! What's happening at Blossom Accents!!??

Recently the studio is busy with hydrangeas! These beauties are a lot of work due to all those tiny yet gorgeous flowers all bunched up in one big puff! This process looks a little something like this....

It starts with me drawing the blossoms by hand with fine art color pencils. This is actually the easy part! The hard part is the composition, colors used, blossom view etc.

Sketching, drawing, erasing, hand cramping :).... but all so worth it!!

Sometimes I even get a hand from clients!!! Notice the fabric swatch, the save the date copy and there's more where that came from. All these little inspirations then evolve into an invitation! Now that's a custom made invitation for ya! Everything is done with heart, love and passion for art!!!

And the artwork comes to an end. Peaches, pinks and moss greens were the foundation colors of this design. Now it is time for phase two.... the INVITATION!!! Thanks for looking. Enjoy!!!

Country/Folk Style Wedding Invitation

So this is a sweet follow up to a recent post. Couple weeks back I posted a drawing I completed. This artwork has now evolved into a blossoming invitation. With the help of my sister, this design will be called "Country Beauties". This design was inspired by a folk, country style theme. I love it for so many reasons. It's colorful therefore it will match a variety of wedding color themes. It's super joyful, it will surely without a doubt place a SMILE on your guests names! And it's completely versatile, it can be used for many special occasions besides weddings!

So, if you're into having one Southern style wedding, then send this invitation to your guests to set the right mood. Y'all got that ;) !?

Recently I completed this colorful and fantastic order. A set of table cards and place cards in a funky, cheerful and a retro style.
